A $10 copay for most Gannett visits (some visits have no charge)
No additional charges for procedures, x-rays, and lab tests performed at Gannett

Insurance & health fee coverage
Cornell requires all students to have adequate health coverage, whether they enroll in Cornell’s Student Health Plan (SHP), or have a private insurance plan that meets Cornell’s requirements. Ithaca students with private insurance plans pay an annual Student Health Fee to give them the same pre-paid access to care at Gannett that SHP members have, and to help support campus-wide health programs.
Lab testing: Many common lab tests are performed at Gannett and covered by SHP and the health fee. If a lab sample has to be sent to an off-site provider, that provider will bill the individual or their insurance plan directly (check SHP or your health plan for coverage).
Complex physicals: Standard physicals and other preventive visits have no charge under SHP and the health fee. However, additional time is scheduled for more complex physicals that require extensive paperwork (such as ROTC and Peace Corp physicals). There is a $50 administrative fee for such physicals. Your paperwork will be reviewed at a preliminary visit, and you will be alerted in advance if your physical exam will require the administrative fee.
Missed-appointment and late fees: A $25 missed appointment fee will be charged for appointments that are not cancelled before 8:30 am the day of the appointment. This applies to both in-person and phone appointments. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we regret that we will not be able to hold your appointment time, and you will be charged the $25 missed appointment fee.
